Why Wear Compression Stockings?
Compression stockings are an essential part of the aftercare process following vein treatments, including sclerotherapy. Patients are advised to wear them for a minimum of six days post-treatment to aid in healing and circulation.

Compression Stockings for Everyday Use
Many people wear compression stockings daily to:

• Prevent blood clots

• Enhance exercise performance
• Prevent lightheadedness when standing up

Application and Care
Below is a section from our Post-Care Sheet, provided to patients after their sclerotherapy appointment:

• • Washing & Maintenance: Stockings can be hand-washed and hung to dry or placed in a delicate cycle and hung to dry. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can reduce the silicone’s effectiveness.

• • Application Tips: Use rubber or kitchen gloves to assist in application, preventing runs and making adjustments easier.

• • Proper Fit: Stockings do not need to be pulled up to the groin for effectiveness. 90% of compression happens at the ankle, gradually decreasing up the leg. Mid-thigh placement ensures comfort and optimal results.

Please note: Stockings may be replaced in cases of manufacturer defects. However, suppliers cannot replace stockings due to general wear and tear, holes, or damage from toenails or fingernails. Proper care will help extend the life of your compression stockings.
